FAQ - We Love To Help You Heal

What to know before you FSM session.

Yes! What a great opportunity for them to meet the doctor and staff and see how you are progressing in your healing journey.

How Do You Handle Emergencies?

Established patients can typically be seen within 48 hours.  We do not usually see emergency new patients.

How often will I need to see the doctor?

We are not your average Chiropractic office.  Since we offer a variety of treatments for your physical and nutritional health, we hope you'll be proactive in pursuit of becoming as healthy as possible.

We would love for you to attend Dr. Melissa's lectures so that you can learn more about all of our remarkable services.

What if I only want to have chiropractic or nutritional counseling or acupuncture?

A lot of patients come to us already having 1 of these practitioners.  We can help you round out your wellness care in whatever way you are needing.

What should I bring to appointments?

What you bring can vary with each appointment, but please feel free to bring a copy of your latest lab work (within a year), current supplements, information on changing medications, and always be prepared for your appointment by wearing comfortable clothing.

Also, check out our Get Started page so you arrive prepared and ready to go!

Can I bring my kids to my appointment?

Yes! Your children are welcome and it helps to set the stage for them to learn great self-care. There is a play area that they are welcome to be in during your appointment, or they can come back with you.

Do you order labs/x-rays or make referrals?

Yes! We can order labs and x-rays for patients – but we don’t do x-rays in our office.  We can also provide recommendations for you to get these done through your insurance company or medical doctor.

What are the new patient appointments?

New patient appointments consist of 2-60 minute appointments with the doctor.  There will be paperwork to fill out and bring to the first hour.

You will spend the first hour appointment doing a comprehensive health history, discussing your current complaints in depth, and then completing a thorough orthopedic, chiropractic, meridian balance exam, nutrition evaluation and heart sound recording.

Check out our Get Started page so you arrive prepared and ready to go!

The Report of Findings is the second hour long appointment.  It is often the most eagerly anticipated visit by our new patients.  I will review your case history, examination and any additional information that you provided on your first visit to determine if you are a good candidate for chiropractic, acupuncture and/or nutritional therapy.

We review all of our findings with you and how they pertain to your chief complaints. We make sure that you really understand all of the suggested treatments and what other options are available to you. This is when you decide if you want to work with us.

If you choose to accept our proposed program of care then we will start treatment on this day.

How long are follow up appointments?

We offer 20, 40 and 60 minute follow-up appointments-with the typical appointment being 20 minutes .  Yearly reviews are 40 minutes in length.
